Aufix ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by Aufix across our mobile applications (iOS and Android), web application at web.aufix.app, and marketing website at aufix.app.

By accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Personal Information & Usage

We collect only the minimum amount of information necessary to provide the App's functionality:

  • Account Data: We collect your Email Address solely for authentication (logging in) and password recovery.
  • User Content: We store the expense records, car profiles, and vehicle data you input to sync them across your devices.
  • Photos: Car icons and user avatars that you choose to upload.

B. Device Permissions

The App may request access to specific features on your device. You can grant or deny these permissions at any time:

  • Camera & Photo Library: This permission is required strictly to allow you to take a photo of your vehicle for the car icon or to set a user profile picture. We do not use the camera for any other purpose.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our app functionality.
  • Create and sync your account and expenses across devices.
  • Authenticate your identity securely.
  • Manage your subscription status (Premium features).
  • Analyze anonymous usage patterns to improve user experience.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

We offer paid subscriptions for Premium features.

  • No Payment Data Stored: We do not collect or store your credit card information or billing details. All financial transactions are handled exclusively by Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  • Subscription Management: We use RevenueCat to validate your subscription status. We share only an anonymous App User ID with RevenueCat to check if you have an active "Pro" plan.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate our services and, with your consent, to measure usage.

A. Strictly Necessary

These are required for the Service to function. They do not require consent under EU ePrivacy rules:

  • Authentication (Web & Mobile): Firebase Auth session tokens so you can stay signed in.
  • App preferences (Web): Language, theme, currency, and notification settings stored in your browser (localStorage).
  • Local data (Web): IndexedDB used by Firebase Firestore to cache and sync your vehicle data offline.
  • Security (Web): Google reCAPTCHA v3 via Firebase App Check to protect our backend from abuse.
  • Cookie choice: We store your cookie preference so we do not ask again on every visit.

B. Analytics (requires your consent on the website and web app)

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 with full analytics cookies to understand how visitors and signed-in users interact with our pages and features. If you choose Necessary only, or before you make a choice, Google Analytics may still receive anonymized, cookieless pings (for example page views without personal identifiers) through Google Consent Mode. We do not enable analytics cookies unless you click Accept.

  • Marketing website (aufix.app): page views and outbound clicks (e.g. Open Web App, App Store, Google Play).
  • Web application (web.aufix.app): page views and product events such as sign-in, adding a vehicle, or exporting expenses.
  • Typical cookies: Google may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* when analytics is enabled.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data for aufix.app or web.aufix.app in your browser settings; the cookie banner will appear again on your next visit.

5. Third-Party Services

We may employ trusted third-party companies solely to help us operate the App:

Google Firebase: We use Firebase for secure authentication (handling passwords securely) and cloud database storage. Firebase Privacy.

Google Analytics: Used on our website and web app when you consent to analytics cookies. Google Privacy Policy. You can also use Google's opt-out browser add-on.

RevenueCat: Used for processing subscription logic and validating receipts from Apple/Google.

6. Data Storage and Security

We prioritize keeping your personal usage data on your device whenever possible for speed and privacy. However, essential data required for synchronization is stored in a secure cloud database (Google Firebase).

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.

8. Deletion of Data

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time.

  • How to delete: You can find the "Delete Account" option directly inside the App settings.
  • Result: Upon confirmation, your account, email, expenses, and images are permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
