Aufix (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by Aufix across our mobile applications (iOS and Android), web application at web.aufix.app, and marketing website at aufix.app.

By accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Account and usage data

We collect the information needed to run the Service:

  • Account data: Your email address for authentication and password recovery. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we also receive the name and profile photo those providers share with us.
  • User content: Vehicle profiles, expense records, reminders, notes, and documents you add so we can show them on your devices.
  • Photos: Vehicle icons, profile pictures, and receipt photos you choose to upload or take.

B. Device permissions

The mobile app may request access to features on your device. You can grant or deny these at any time:

  • Camera and photo library: To set a vehicle icon or profile picture, and to photograph or pick a receipt for expense scanning. We do not use the camera for anything else.
  • Notifications: Optional push notifications for reminders you create (insurance, service, registration, and similar deadlines).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Create and sync your account and data across web and mobile when you are signed in.
  • Authenticate you securely.
  • Extract expense details from a receipt you submit (amount, date, merchant/category hints). The image is sent to our cloud function for that scan and is not used to train unrelated models.
  • Manage your subscription and plan limits (Free, Pro, Fleet, Fleet Pro).
  • Analyze anonymous usage patterns to improve the product.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid plans can be purchased in the iOS app, the Android app, or the web app.

  • We do not store card numbers or billing details. App Store and Google Play handle mobile purchases. Web purchases go through RevenueCat Billing.
  • Subscription status: We use RevenueCat to validate receipts and keep your plan in sync across devices when you use the same account. We share an app user ID (and, for web checkout, the email you use to pay) so RevenueCat can confirm an active plan.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate our services and, with your consent, to measure usage.

A. Strictly necessary

These are required for the Service to function. They do not require consent under EU ePrivacy rules:

  • Authentication (web and mobile): Firebase Auth session tokens so you can stay signed in.
  • App preferences (web): Language, theme, currency, and notification settings stored in your browser (localStorage).
  • Local data (web): IndexedDB used by Firebase Firestore to cache and sync your vehicle data offline.
  • Security (web): Google reCAPTCHA v3 via Firebase App Check to protect our backend from abuse.
  • Cookie choice: We store your cookie preference so we do not ask again on every visit.

B. Analytics (requires your consent on the website and web app)

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 with analytics cookies to understand how visitors and signed-in users interact with our pages and features. If you choose Necessary only, or before you make a choice, Google Analytics may still receive anonymized, cookieless pings (for example page views without personal identifiers) through Google Consent Mode. We do not enable analytics cookies unless you click Accept.

  • Marketing website (aufix.app): page views and outbound clicks (for example Open Web App, App Store, Google Play).
  • Web application (web.aufix.app): page views and product events such as sign-in, adding a vehicle, or exporting expenses.
  • Typical cookies: Google may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* when analytics is enabled.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data for aufix.app or web.aufix.app in your browser settings; the cookie banner will appear again on your next visit.

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third parties to operate the Service:

Google Firebase: Authentication, cloud database, cloud functions (including receipt scanning), and App Check. Firebase Privacy.

Google Analytics: Used on our website and web app when you consent to analytics cookies. Google Privacy Policy. You can also use Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

RevenueCat: Subscription status and web billing. Mobile payments are processed by Apple or Google.

Apple and Google: Sign-in (if you choose those buttons) and in-app purchases on their stores. Their privacy policies apply to those flows.

6. Data Storage and Security

Signed-in expense data is stored in Google Firebase so it can sync across devices. Some plan features (notes and documents on Fleet Pro) are also stored in the cloud. Free-plan history is retained according to your plan limits, not only in the browser.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, or under 16 in the EEA and UK where that is the age of digital consent. If we learn that we have collected such information, we delete it.

8. Deletion of Data

You can delete your account and associated data at any time.

  • How to delete: Use Delete account in the mobile app (profile / account) or in Settings on the web app.
  • Result: After confirmation, your account, email, expenses, and uploaded images are permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered. Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately in Apple, Google, or your web billing settings.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
